Travelin’ Trash

Students will participate in a series of activities that demonstrate the characteristics of marine debris, and how these characteristics affect where marine debris is found in the environment. The concept of stormwater runoff is introduced in relation to how litter enters our waterways.  Students will determine whether specific types of trash can float, be moved by the wind, or be washed away by rains.
