Meet James Breakell
James Breakell is a native of Roanoke with more than 35 years in commercial and industrial construction sales and project management. He is responsible for business development and community outreach for Titan America. With a keen passion for the environment, he is experienced with LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) construction projects, environmental regulations, and best practices. James attended the University of Georgia. He and his wife, Kristin, have four children. A Clean Valley Council board member, James enjoys all outdoor activities, including mountain biking, golf, tennis, and snow skiing.
Private Sector Approaches to Carbon Neutrality
Historically, the cement industry has been one of the largest emitters of gases contributing to climate change. Students will learn about how cement is made and about some of the ways in which leading cement companies are pursuing a more sustainable world by dramatically reducing carbon emissions during the production process.
