About Our Rain Barrel Workshops

Connecting a rain barrel to your gutter system is a fantastic way both to reduce the pollutants that enter local streams and to save money. We offer these workshops throughout the year in a variety of municipalities, including the City of Roanoke, the City of Salem and the Town of Vinton.

Our next rain barrel workshop will be a double-hitter at Carilion’s Morningside Urban Farm:

Thursday, March 27,

4:30-6 p.m. and 6-7:30 p.m.

Registrants will be asked to select one of the sessions. Registration will be available soon.

During the workshops, we demonstrate one of the ways to make a DIY rain barrel and assist participants in making their own. All equipment and hardware, including barrels, are provided free of charge with
registration.

Information about upcoming rain barrel workshops will be posted on our Get Involved tab as well as on Facebook and Instagram.

Rain barrels also qualify for stormwater credits in the City of Roanoke! Visit here for more information.
